The IIID Mobility & Transport Forum serves the shared interests of planners, designers, researchers, suppliers, users, transport authorities and educators. It provides a forum for face-to-face discussions on the latest developments and trends and their expected impact.
Over the years the Forum has successfully created a network of individuals and teams who share a common interest in traffic/transport related design, research and technology.

The conference in Mumbai was a call to understand individual perspectives on navigating and “using” the city, and how the quality of the mobility experience will be shaping city life in the future.

Ever more public and private players are involved in providing mobility services and information. The design of manageable and understandable information environments is a major challenge – for providers as well as users. Who owns information (design) for mobility: designers,
communities, transport authorities, data sources? Does standardisation also mean loss of community identity? Who moderates/advocates design qualities in the public interest?
